2. What Data We Collect

  • Account data: name, email address, hashed password when you create an account.
  • CV & career data: CV text and job descriptions you submit for ATS analysis or CV building. This data is processed by AI and is not shared with third parties.
  • Payment data: processed securely by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer ID but never your full card number.
  • Lead data: email address when you subscribe to updates via our blog or guides.
  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, and anonymised analytics collected via Google Analytics 4 (only with your consent).
  • Device & technical data: IP address (anonymised), browser type, and operating system collected automatically by server logs.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide our services (CV building, ATS analysis, Job Hunter Pack delivery).
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe.
  • To send service-related communications (e.g. purchase confirmations).
  • To send career tips and product updates if you opt in via our email capture forms.
  • To improve our website using anonymised analytics (Google Analytics 4).
  • To display relevant advertising via third-party advertising networks (such as Google AdSense and Media.net) on blog and guide pages (with consent).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

  • Contract: processing necessary to deliver services you have purchased.
  • Consent: analytics cookies, advertising cookies, and marketing emails (you can withdraw consent at any time).
  • Legitimate interest: improving our services, preventing fraud, ensuring security.
  • Legal obligation: tax and financial record-keeping.

5. Data Sharing

We share personal data only with:

  • Stripe — payment processing (PCI DSS compliant).
  • Google — Analytics (GA4) and AdSense, only when you consent to non-essential cookies.
  • Media.net — contextual advertising partner, only when you consent to advertising cookies.
  • AI service providers — to process CV and ATS analysis requests. Data is processed under strict data-processing agreements and is not used for model training.
  • Affiliate partners — if you click an affiliate link, the partner may collect data under their own privacy policy. We clearly label affiliate links.

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

6. International Transfers

Some of our service providers (e.g. Stripe, Google) may process data outside the UK. Where this occurs, we ensure adequate safeguards are in place (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses, UK International Data Transfer Agreement).

7. Data Retention

  • Account data: retained while your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
  • CV & analysis data: retained while your account is active.
  • Payment records: retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance.
  • Lead emails: retained until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics data: anonymised and retained per Google’s standard retention settings.

8. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erase your data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Restrict or object to processing.
  • Data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect prior lawful processing).
